Ruby Thompson

Ruby Thompson is an experienced primary educator with a strong
background in personalised learning, academic support and pupil
development. With seven years of experience across education, training
and private tuition, Ruby has developed an individualised approach to
supporting children academically while helping them build confidence,
resilience and independence in their learning.

Ruby worked as a primary teacher at Runnymede St. Edward’s in
Liverpool, one of the most oversubscribed primary schools in the city.
Within this highly regarded school environment, she has developed
extensive experience in delivering a broad, ambitious and bespoke
curriculum, assessing individual needs, analysing pupil progress and
implementing targeted interventions to support academic outcomes.

Alongside her classroom teaching, Ruby has extensive experience in
1:1 and small group tuition, supporting primary-aged pupils across
English and Mathematics. She has prepared pupils for key assessments
including the Phonics Screening Check, Multiplication Tables Check,
KS2 SATs and 11+ entrance examinations. Ruby has a particular
strength in building trusting relationships with pupils and families. Her
experience supporting pupils with a range of abilities and additional
needs enables her to take a flexible and inclusive approach, adapting
strategies to ensure that every child feels understood, supported and
appropriately challenged.

Alongside her educational experience, Ruby brings strong
organisational and administrative skills from her work within education
and training environments. She has supported administrative processes,
managed data, evaluated learner feedback and worked closely with key
stakeholders. These skills provide a strong foundation for supporting
families with admissions processes, educational planning and the wider
organisation of a child’s academic journey.

Ruby is passionate about helping children reach their potential and
believes academic success is best achieved when children feel
confident, understood and motivated to learn. She takes a calm,
encouraging and structured approach to tuition, combining high
expectations with a genuine understanding of each child’s individual
needs.
