Sarah Pugh

Sarah Pugh is a highly experienced Senior Tutor at LLGEC, specialising in bespoke academic tuition, selective school preparation, and personalised learning pathways for families across the UK and the United Arab Emirates. With over a decade of teaching experience, Sarah has developed a strong reputation for delivering high-quality education that balances academic rigour with a deep understanding of each child’s individual needs.

Sarah began her career in the UK before relocating to Dubai, where she spent six years at Foremarke / Repton Al Barsha, one of the region’s leading preparatory schools. During her time there, she served as both a Lead Practitioner in Primary Education and Head of Year, combining excellence in classroom teaching with a strong commitment to pastoral care. Her leadership role focused on supporting pupil wellbeing alongside ensuring consistent academic progress, allowing her to develop a holistic approach to education that is both nurturing and ambitious.

An outstanding practitioner recognised by Estyn, KHDA, and BSO, Sarah has extensive experience in planning and delivering rich, engaging, and highly challenging Maths and English curricula. She is particularly skilled in stretching and challenging pupils to reach their full academic potential, while maintaining an approach that builds confidence, resilience, and independence in learning.

Alongside her school-based roles, Sarah has worked closely with Lauren-Lucy Grafton to design and deliver tailored private tuition programmes for families. These sessions are carefully structured to meet individual needs, supporting preparation for competitive entrance assessments and examinations for leading international schools in Dubai, as well as prestigious independent schools across the UK.

In summer 2025, Sarah made the decision to step away from full-time classroom teaching to focus on family life, while continuing her work in education through LLGEC. In her current role, she delivers engaging, academically rigorous tuition and provides personalised support to families seeking flexible, high-quality educational provision.

“When working with families, I prioritise understanding each child as an individual — building trust, confidence, and a genuine love of learning. I am committed to going above and beyond to ensure every pupil feels supported, challenged, and capable of achieving their very best.”

Sarah is known for her calm, supportive approach and her ability to build strong relationships with both pupils and parents. Her work is defined by a commitment to academic excellence, thoughtful guidance, and a genuine dedication to helping every child succeed.
